He has held senior roles in the Government of Alberta’s Executive Council\, the Public Affairs Bureau\, and the Legislative Assembly of Alberta\, serving former provincial Premiers\, Cabinet ministers\, and Opposition caucus leaders. Brookes is currently pursuing a Master of Liberal Arts in Sustainability from Harvard University. \nAs a consultant\, Brookes has worked with Canada’s largest corporations\, innovative start-ups\, and various industry associations\, municipalities\, and not-for-profit organizations. He is also an active volunteer\, serving as a director with the Edmonton Griesbach community league and contributing to organizations like the Canadian Mental Health Association and Home Ed.

DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to announce that SMACNA-AB will host our inaugural Fun Money Casino on February 7\, 2025\, at the Grey Eagle Casino in Calgary. We hope this event will become an annual tradition! \nThis exciting evening supports our outstanding scholarship program\, initiated in 2013. To date\, we have raised over $85\,000 and awarded 94 scholarships totalling $59\,000. While our association’s golf tournaments have traditionally been our primary funding source\, we are excited to introduce the Fun Money Casino as a new way to support our scholarship program. This initiative aims to provide even more scholarships to Sheet Metal apprentices employed by SMACNA-AB members. \nJoin us for an evening filled with dinner\, cash prizes\, silent auction items\, and more! \n√Dinner Buffet begins at 6:00 PM. \n√Silent Auction table items open at 6:30 PM – we are looking for silent auction table donations. \n√Casino tables open from 8:00-11:00 – all guests will receive $50\,000 in Fun Money. \n√There will be three prizes: \n\n\n\n\n\n1st Prize – $500.00 (gift card TBA)\n2nd Prize – $300.00 (gift card TBA)\n3rd Prize – $150.00 (gift card TBA)\n\n\n\n\n\nYour support will be invaluable in making this event a success.
