Calgary and Edmonton are two separate chapters within SMACNA-AB. Smaller centers, Ie., Red Deer, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, etc., are charged ½ of their selected category.

All member applications and their chosen category are to be approved by the Board of Directors. Upon review, each applicant will be notified if the category is not reflective of the industry.

Small Contractor Member -The company applicant is active in the Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning ("HVAC") industry as an installer or fabricator employing one to four (4) employees. Membership in this category provides members full membership benefits and services provided by the SMACNA-AB Chapter as outlined in the association's bylaws. $300/year
CM1 - The company applicant is active in the Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning ("HVAC") industry as an installer or fabricator employing five (5) to ten (10) employees. Membership in this category provides members full membership benefits and services provided by the SMACNA-AB Chapter as outlined in the association's bylaws $650.00/year
CM2 - The company applicant is active in the HVAC industry as an installer or fabricator that employs eleven (11) to twenty-five (25) employees. Membership in this category provides members full membership benefits and services provided by the SMACNA-AB Chapter as outlined in the association's bylaws - $1,100.00/year
CM3 - The company applicant is active in the HVAC industry as an installer or fabricator and employs between twenty-six (26) to fifty (50) employees. Membership in this category provides members full membership benefits and services provided by the SMACNA-AB Chapter as outlined in the association's bylaws. $1,550.00/year
CM4 - The company applicant is active in the HVAC industry as an installer or fabricator and employs more than fifty-one (51) employees. Membership in this category provides members full membership benefits and services provided by the SMACNA-AB Chapter as outlined in the association's bylaws. - $1,950.00/year
Supplier Wholesaler (S/W) - Company applicant is active in in the HVAC industry as a supplier or manufaturer. Membership in this category provides member full membership benefits and services provided by the SMACNA-AB Chapter as outlined in the association's by-laws. – $650.00/year
Associate Member - Associate membership is for businesses and organizations that supply services to the HVAC industry but do not qualify for full membership. Membership in this category provides reduced membership benefits and services provided by the SMACNA-AB Chapter as outlined in the association's bylaws. (No voting privileges). I.e., municipalities, technical schools, or as approved by the Board of Directors. $300.00/year
SMACNA National - Separate application is required for SMACNA-National membership, this category is for unionized shops. For application information, contact the SMACNA-AB office. This fee is in addition to Chapter Membership Fee. Members receive all benefits and services provided by SMACNA National and SMACNA-AB. Contact SMACNA-AB Office for more information including costs.

NOTE: SMACNA-AB Membership fee includes products and services provided by the chapter (events and meetings are not included in fee structure). SMACNA-National members receive all chapter products & services plus products and services of SMACNA-National.
